WhyCloud acts as a user-friendly platform orchestrator, designed to be simple enough for anyone to be able to use it with in three simple steps:
- Name Your Domain – Choose a unique domain name that reflects your brand or creative identity.
- Bring or Pick Your Host (or Servers) – Use your own servers or select from our trusted hosting partners. This gives you the freedom to decide where your content lives.
- Choose Your Apps – Pick the tools and applications you need, like content management systems or storage solutions. We handle the setup and configuration for you.
A key feature is that your applications run using your own API key, meaning everything operates on your servers, not ours. Powered by tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform, WhyCloud ensures a secure, scalable, and user-friendly experience—even for those without deep technical expertise.
How is my data protected?
Your data security is a fundamental necessity with WhyCloud. Here’s how it is protected:
- User-Controlled Data – Your applications run through your own API key, so your data stays on your servers. We don’t store it; you control it entirely.
- Robust Security Features – WhyCloud offers automated backup configuration, encryption, and access control, all designed to be simple yet highly configurable for those who need it.
- Privacy and Compliance – Need to manage applications in an air-gapped environment for regulatory reasons? WhyCloud supports that, too.
What this means is that even if the WhyCloud service goes down, your applications will still run normally. WhyCloud helps you to take control of your data, nobody else.
